Congratulations to all! 

Hi everyone! As of now, auditions are postponed until we return to school due to hurricane evacuations. We hope to be able to hold the auditions Thursday, but it will depend on school closures. We want everyone to make the evacuation your priority, but if you would like to have your child practice the audition pieces in their down time, here is that information. 1- We will have an audition panel that will work together to cast the show. 2- All students interested in auditioning will be asked to sing the designated audition piece (information below). Based on that audition, we may ask for students to do a reading. Students will not be required to memorize the scene. We will provide them with printed copies at the audition. NOT ALL STUDENTS WILL BE ASKED TO DO THE READING. This is for many reasons, and does not reflect the child's audition performance one way or the other. 3- Girls will be asked to sing "Belle (Reprise)" along with the track. Q: How much does the program cost? A: For the K/1st grade students, it costs $60. For the 2nd-5th grade students, it costs $120. Q: When will the show be? A: December 14, 15, and 16 are our scheduled show dates. Which of those nights your child performs depends on their age and what cast they are assigned. You will know within a week of the program starting. Q:What days do they rehearse? A: K/1st grade students will rehearse on Tuesdays from 3:00-4:30. 2nd-5th grade students will be rehearsing on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:00-4:30. All students are required to attend rehearsals (both days for the older cast). All students must also bring a snack. Q: When does the program start? A: We plan to hold our first rehearsal on Tuesday September 5th for the K/1 students, and Thursday September 7th for the 2nd-5th students. Q: Does everyone get a part? Hi everyone!! We are so excited to get started with our next production, Beauty and the Beast Jr.! We will be hosting an informational Q & A for parents to get information prior to registration for the Musical Theatre Troupe! You should have received the information regarding the meeting from your child's teacher (a flyer was sent home with all students), but here is the information if you would like to attend. When: Monday August 28th at 6 p.m. Where: Cafeteria What: Information about upcoming production to explain commitment, cost, expectations, etc. Registration will NOT start that evening. This is purely an informational meeting, and we will give more specifics about how registration will occur during the meeting! It will be different than last year. Costume Information for Peter Pan Jr. Below are the guidelines for students costumes. We ask that you stick to the guidelines so that the students look fairly uniform within their group. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Ms.Hirst. If there is a financial issue as to why you are unable to provide your own costume, reach out to us so that we can come up with a solution before it is last minute! J Fairies We will be assigning each fairy a color. Talk to your child to find out their assigned color. We are asking for all parents of “fairies” to send in $6 (to Ms.Hirst by 2/27) , and we will order the tutu, flower crown, wings, and make-up. The only things needed from home is a solid color shirt or tank top that is their assigned color, nude tights, and solid color flats (ballet shoes work fine).
