Costume Ideas

Image
Hi everyone!  I have started getting emails asking about where to start with costumes... Hopefully this will help some!  Orphans :  We are doing "muddy" colors (tan, brown, burgundy, navy, olive, etc.). Layers, patches, leggings...all of that is perfect! I am attaching some pictures to give you an idea. If they have brown or black boots, that works great! If not, they should be in black shoes or dance shoes! Email me with any questions! We are making some orphan dresses and costumes, and I have cute boot socks and patches. Just let me know what you need and we will work it out!  City People: These people will switch between servants (all black skirt, leggings, or shirt with aprons and headbands) and city people for one scene. We are making the aprons and can make the headbands as well. They will need black shirt and skirt/leggings. They will also need to be able to put on a coat or dress for NYC. That song will be brief, so we don't need an elabo

Volunteers!

Hey moms and dads!  We have a few projects that we are getting underway as we close in on the final month before production!  1- We need some buckets spray painted...They are Halloween buckets, but we got silver spray paint and it makes them look like old, dingy, tin ones like we need! This would be an at home (over spring break?) project. There are 15 of them I believe. If you are interested/willing, let me know and we can coordinate!  2- We will be making some orphan dresses, as well as adding patches and such (no sewing necessary). We will also be making aprons for the servants. If you are interested in taking part in this production, let me know! You don't need a ton (or any) sewing experience. If all goes as planned, we will be having a work day Saturday April 2nd to put together set stuff and costumes, so let me know!    3- We need some creative minds to help come up with/build the simple set. I can come up with the plans, if we have a dad or mom that likes u

Hello everyone! :) We are well underway with our rehearsals and we have been SO impressed by the kids' dedication! They are REALLY taking to their characters and having fun with the show. Please allow them to read their scripts, lyrics, or listen to their CDs as much as possible! The quicker we get through the memorization process, the more time we have for perfecting the other stuff! Here are some pictures of today's rehearsal with the AWESOME orphans and Ms.Hannigan! Enjoy!

K and 1 parents: Missing Lyrics

Hi parents! A few of you noticed that the packet of lyrics somehow is missing 3 songs. We are not sure how that happened either because they were all in one document! Regardless, we are running them off for them, but in the meantime here they are! The songs are Maybe, Hard Knock Life, and NYC.  MAYBE Annie Maybe far away Or maybe real nearby, He may be pourin’ her coffee, She may be straightnin’ his tie!
