Audition Information- 2nd-5th Grade
Hi everyone!
As of now, auditions are postponed until we return to school due to hurricane evacuations. We hope to be able to hold the auditions Thursday, but it will depend on school closures. We want everyone to make the evacuation your priority, but if you would like to have your child practice the audition pieces in their down time, here is that information.
1- We will have an audition panel that will work together to cast the show.
2- All students interested in auditioning will be asked to sing the designated audition piece (information below). Based on that audition, we may ask for students to do a reading. Students will not be required to memorize the scene. We will provide them with printed copies at the audition. NOT ALL STUDENTS WILL BE ASKED TO DO THE READING. This is for many reasons, and does not reflect the child's audition performance one way or the other.
3- Girls will be asked to sing "Belle (Reprise)" along with the track. Lyrics will be provided if needed. The portion of the song we would like to hear from them begins at the 30 second mark of this video when Belle begins her solo.

4- Boys will be asked to sing "Be Our Guest" along with the track. Lyrics will be provided if needed. The portion of the song we would like to hear from them begins at 21 seconds when the solo singing begins.

**If needed, students MAY be asked to sing a portion of "Home" or "Gaston". We will provide lyrics and instruction, but they are more than welcome to prepare these pieces if time allows.
